Nepean Hospital is seeking a reliable, organised and motivated Storeperson to join our dynamic Theatres team. This is a key support role, ensuring the smooth operation of theatre services by managing and maintaining stock levels, receiving and distributing goods and supporting clinical teams with essential equipment and supplies.
You will be required to actively participate as a member of a team which is required to check and store surgical and theatre-related stock and supplies, maintain accurate records of inventory using hospital systems, ensure timely delivery and restocking of consumables and equipment to theatre rooms, liaise with procurement, suppliers and clinical staff to meet stock need and assist with stocktaking, expiry date checks and inventory audits

What you will bring to the role
- Storeman / Warehousing experience in ordering, receiving and stock control, putting away and dispatching
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Stock control procedures using bar code and ordering systems (for example R12 / iProcurement)
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Experience in a Hospital or similar facility
- Demonstrated understanding of Policy and Procedures in regards to receipting, storage and issue of goods, including Code of Conduct, WH&S, Delegations and Purchasing & Supply Manual/s
- Demonstrated ability to work within a busy team environment but also with minimum supervision
