About the role...
This is your chance to shape the future of waste management and resource recovery. As the Strategic Advisor, Waste & Recycling, you’ll be the driving force behind innovative solutions, guiding our Waste and Recycling Branch with your expertise.
Your leadership will directly impact decision-making at the Office of the CEO, ensuring projects are executed with precision and strategy. With your deep industry knowledge, you’ll be the expert, developing critical training programs and coaching teams to excellence.

What you will bring… (Selection criteria)
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of waste management principles and practices necessary to strategically manage the waste generated within the City;
- Proven leadership capability and experience, including leading by example and consistently working towards a constructive culture.
- Highly developed analytical and lateral thinking skills and the ability to take the initiative, drive change and implement innovations.
- Excellent inter-personal, negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to use discretion and judgement in a complex business and political environment.
