About the Role
This position will lead the Sport Field team in delivering the high-quality maintenance of sporting fields across the Shire. The Supervisor, along with current Leading Hand, is responsible for the development, programming, and delivery of all aspects of turf maintenance. The position will also involve some Contractor relationship building and delivery of specialist services. With this role the Supervisor must support and assist the growth of the Open Space Maintenance team’s agreed behaviour values and the Cultural Commitments of Baw Baw Shire.
About the Successful Candidate
- Certificate 3 in Horticulture (Sports Turf Management) or equivalent with substantial experience, essential.
- Diploma Horticulture (Sports Turf Management) or equivalent desirable, but not essential.
- Current Victorian Driver Licence.
- Vehicle experience – Turf Tractor operation
- Medium rigid truck licence desirable, but not essential.
- Current Agriculture Chemical User Permit (ACUP) or equivalent.
