Wonderland Community Services (Pirates Rest) is on the lookout for resilient, skilled, and grounded Support Workers who are ready to make a real difference.
We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and skilled Support Workers to join our team in Townsville—with a growing focus on supporting Child Safety clients. We're seeking support workers with experience in disability, youth work, mental health, or child safety—or those eager to grow in these areas.
We’re looking for strong, grounded individuals who are:
- Experienced or confident in working with children and young people young people.
- Trained in managing challenging behaviours and maintaining emotional safety in high-pressure situations
- Committed to trauma-informed practice, empathy, and clear boundaries
- Have a wide range of availability
- Essential requirements include a current Driver’s Licence (with comprehensive insurance), a valid Blue Card, and an NDIS Worker Screening
- Be willing to complete or already hold a Cert IV in Disability or a related qualification, Youth Work, or Community Services
We're looking for someone who remains calm under pressure, is emotionally intelligent, shows good judgment, and consistently puts participants first. You should be ready to support clients with daily life skills and personal care often in challenging yet deeply rewarding environments.
