Who We Are


One by Mingara is the gold standard of health and wellness, boasting a state-of-the-art aquatic centre featuring a 50m indoor Olympic Pool, heated leisure pool, hydrotherapy pool, café, and swim shop. A Great Opportunity


In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for the continuous development and improvement of our Learn to Swim program and team, helping waterproof our coastal children! This position will collaborate with other Centre Leads to support our communities aquatic journey from babies to masters. The fast-paced, ever-changing environment ensures that no two days are alike. As you work, you’ll acquire new skills, forge lasting relationships, and devise creative solutions on the fly.


Key responsibilities of the role include:

    • Leadership and Team Management
    • Delivering Swim School Programs
    • Community Engagement
    • Safety and compliance

You will have the opportunity to work alongside an amazing team, contributing to a positive and warm organizational culture. Your leadership abilities, effective communication, and collaboration skills will be essential as you deliver innovative Swim School programs. Your passion for swimming and commitment to exceptional service will complement your business acumen.


About You


You will be passionate about fostering positive relationships with team members, swimmers, teachers, parents, and the wider community. By leading through example as a positive role model, and creating memorable experiences.


You will have:


    • Proven experience in developing and managing aquatic programs
    • A genuine and caring approach to leadership and team development
    • Demonstrated industry knowledge and understanding of national swimming and water safety frameworks Including: Royal Life Saving, Swim and Survive, Guidelines for safe pool operations and NSW Health
    • Relevant qualifications including Swimming and Water Safety Teacher and advanced/specialised swimming certificates
    • Current Working with Children Check

Desirable

    • Pool Lifeguard Qualification
    • Certificate III in Aquatics and Community Recreation (or equivalent)
    • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
