Your Opportunity
As the TAFE at School Manager you will be responsible for:
lead the delivery of a range of educational and business services to maximise uptake of TAFE at School program offerings to secondary schools and students; and
provide expert advice and direction on the development of initiatives, projects, and policy and procedure related to programs and opportunities within the school sector.
This position reports to the Executive Director, Education and Training.
This is a Permanent, Full-time opportunity.
The position will be based primarily at Acacia Ridge however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the effective development and implementation of quality TAFE at School programs and services ensuring that:
operational objectives are aligned to regional and state-wide strategic and business performance goals and identified priorities; and
TAFE at School products and programs are compliant with regulatory standards, Departmental requirements, and TAFE Queensland policies and procedures.
Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to maximise engagement in TAFE at School programs and initiatives, and meet client needs and expectations.
Maintain superior knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Education systems and provide business analysis, expert advice and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including the Senior Executive team, ensuring appropriate business strategies are implemented to achieve revenue targets.
Work collaboratively across TAFE Queensland to lead and implement best practice systems, processes and client service across the state to maintain TAFE Queensland as the training provider of choice for TAFE at School.
Lead, manage and develop a high performing TAFE at School team, providing leadership on individual and team performance, fostering a culture of collaboration and improvement and ensuring that human resource management issues are addressed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
Manage the TAFE at Schools operational budget including active participation in budget planning cycles and the analysis of financial and business performance data, ensuring effective utilisation of physical and financial resources.
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through the timely and appropriate management of complaints, negotiating effective outcomes and implementing corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
Represent the Region through active participation in working groups, networks and other relevant internal and external forums as appropriate.
Lead and manage collaborative, multi-regional projects and programs, including systems and staff, to grow the TAFE Queensland and TAFE at School brand and reputation, improve student and client engagement and outcomes, and ensure consistency across the state.

How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Superior knowledge of the VET and Education systems with proven ability to provide strategic direction and sound, accurate advice in a changing, highly competitive and complex vocational education and training setting.
Demonstrated achievement in the development and management of relevant and innovative training products, services and solutions to meet client expectations and achieve revenue targets.
High level communication and consultation skills as evidenced by the proven ability to build and sustain a network of key internal and external relationships within and across TAFE Queensland, schools, Training, Education and industry to develop successful partnerships with quality outcomes.
Proven ability to take personal responsibility and initiative for meeting objectives and progressing solutions in an environment of complex and competing priorities.
Proven ability to provide high level and supportive leadership that rewards excellence, encourages creativity and innovation and maximises workforce capability.
