Job Description
Nine’s Corporate Tax Team has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Analyst to join our Finance team!
Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, you'll play a key role in the tax compliance and advisory for all tax matters of Nine and its controlled entities. This is a fantastic chance to develop your skills in a corporate environment and gain exposure to a wide range of tax matters.
Day to day you will:
- Assist in the preparation of income tax returns for the NEC tax consolidated group and its controlled entities
- Assist in the preparation of income tax forecasts and provisions, with maintenance of the tax fixed assets register
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly BAS and IAS
- Assist in the preparation of fringe benefits tax returns and with other employment related taxation obligations such as payroll tax and superannuation guarantee matters
- Liaise with the ATO and assisting in maintaining the income tax consolidated and GST groups and other tax/revenue related registrations
- Collaborate with the wider Finance team with a view to consistently improving tax processes
- Other tax related duties and projects as required
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in taxation or accounting are essential
- CA or CPA qualifications commenced or about to commence is desirable
- Exposure to any Big 4 or chartered accounting firm and/or corporate environment is highly desirable
- Advanced skills in Word and Excel
- Skills in Microsoft D365 and in tax software such as Tax Automate are desirable but not essential
- Strong skills in multiple stakeholder management, written and verbal communication and commitment to meeting deadlines are essential
