The Opportunity
We are seeking a caring and experienced Teacher Aide to join our Secondary Learning Enhancement Team on a part-time, fixed-term basis from 7 October to 5 December 2025. This role is based in our Secondary Learning Enhancement Space and will involve working 3 days per week, supporting students in Years 7–12.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class and small group support for verified and NCCD students
- Actively contribute to a safety citizenship culture by upholding health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices.
- Assist with supervision during study periods, assessments, and exams
- Support students with modified programs and reduced subject loads
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to administrative tasks
- Attend weekly team meetings and playground duties
- Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent)
- 2–3 years’ experience supporting students in a secondary school setting
- Confidence supporting students in senior English, Maths, and Science
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to student needs
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- A current Blue Card (First Aid Certificate desirable)
- Support for the values and Christian ethos of this Uniting Church College.
Classification: School Officer Level 3
Hourly Rate: Starting at $33.21/hour, based on experience in accordance with the Moreton Bay Boys’ College Enterprise Agreement.
