Position Information
Mount Austin High School is located on Wiradjuri Country, in Wagga Wagga. The school is co-educational and caters for students from Year 7 to 12. The student population is diverse. There are approximately 540 enrolments, of whom 47% identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and 10% are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. There are 5 special education classes catering for range of disabilities. A focus of the school is building effective relationships, both among peers, staff and with our wider community. Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Mathematics (Years 7 – 12)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a faculty team to develop and successfully deliver differentiated programs and practices that challenge and meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Evidence of highly developed classroom practice that includes the monitoring of student progress and applying classroom management strategies that foster a culture of high expectations.
