The Role
The College is seeking enthusiastic and skilled educators to deliver a cutting-edge curriculum at Sheldon College. As part of a dynamic team of dedicated professionals, you will focus on enhancing the abilities of Junior Years learners by applying your expert knowledge and experience in early education. About you
- Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications as a Primary Teacher.
- Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
- Relevant and up-to-date training in child protection and mandatory reporting.
- Ability to plan and deliver exceptional teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of students according to ACARA and QCAA.
- Ability and willingness to contribute positively and support each individual to ‘Achieve the Extraordinary’.
- Passion for quality teaching and learning and the ability to translate this into a challenging learning environment with strong student engagement and excellent academic outcomes.
- Ability to create a safe, secure learning environment in which trust is fostered, individual differences are respected and valued, and students are encouraged to be risk-takers and self-directed learners.
- Strong team orientation with a willingness to contribute and collaborate.
- Ability to establish effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues and partnerships within the wider community.
- High standards of personal integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to be a proactive and collaborative member of a team.
Desirable
- Experience and Knowledge as an Early Childhood or Primary Educator.
- Sound understanding of wellbeing issues as related to students.
