Cranebrook High School is a comprehensive co-educational high school servicing a diverse community in the Penrith
Valley of Western Sydney. The school is located in a growing part of the Penrith Valley. The current enrolment of 894
students is trending upwards and the school has increased its teaching establishment over the past three years. 20% of
the student population identifies as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and 5% as Language Background other than
English. CHS has a large Support Faculty catering for 75 students with diverse needs, and focuses on inclusive
practices. The Support Faculty has seven classes catering for students with moderate intellectual disabilities, physical
disabilities, autism and emotional and behavioural disorder.
Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Science 7-10.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective and engaging evidence-based teaching programs.
- Demonstrated capacity to create a safe and supportive learning environment that caters for students with diverse learning needs.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with students, staff and parents to improve student learning outcomes.
