Position Information

Hoxton Park High School is a coeducational comprehensive school in south-west Sydney with an enrolment of approximately 862 students, including 85% NESB students and 3% Aboriginal students. Our school has a support unit. We are proud of our strong multicultural tradition where students value diversity and inclusivity. We have adopted the four core values of care, respect, participation and excellence.

Our school community has high expectations for student academic performance supported through quality teaching. We have implemented effective literacy and numeracy initiatives and offer a broad range of academic courses, VET frameworks, SBATs and TAFE options. High potential and gifted students learn in our self-select classes and a differentiated curriculum caters for all learners.

We have a comprehensive student leadership and welfare program which includes strong links with partner primary schools. Selection Criteria

Approval to teach Technology Mandatory and Industrial Technology Timber.

Demonstrated capacity to plan, implement and deliver innovative teaching programs to differentiate learning and engage students from diverse backgrounds.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a collaborative member of the Technological and Applied Studies Faculty.


Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
