About the position
Are you an experienced operator with leadership skills and a passion for civil construction? The City of Gosnells Engineering Construction Team is offering an exciting opportunity to step into a key role within our dynamic Engineering Works crew.
We're seeking a suitably qualified team leader to help guide our stormwater drainage crew, operating major construction plant including backhoes and excavators. You'll play a vital part in delivering the City's annual stormwater drainage program, contributing to essential infrastructure that supports our growing community.
What we are looking for
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- sound knowledge of civil infrastructure construction practices particularly in relation drainage works.
- Sound knowledge of civil infrastructure construction practices operating construction plant, primarily a backhoe or excavator.
- Sound knowledge of engineering construction techniques and standards.
- The ability to work in a team environment and lead the drainage construction team
- The ability to operate safely adjacent to public utilities.
Essential requirements
- Current MR class driver's licence
- White Card
- Operators certificate
- Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but may be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
