About the role:
As the Team Leader your purpose is to lead your teams to support clients within your services in line with their NDIS Plans and goals. The Team Leader will supervise a team to ensure a person-centred environment where employees can identify and solve problems, within delegation, to ensure the personalised planning process translates into action; whilst ensuring sustainable and a person centric service delivery experience. The Team Leader is responsible for holistic success of the clients, staff and sites. This role may work across both home settings and community settings to enable clients to make possibilities a reality.
This role oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of 4 Supported Independent Living (SIL) sites based in Gladstone. This role’s ideal applicant would be someone that is a hands-on leader, that is a values and purpose driven with leadership style that promotes honest and integrity in your work and can do this autonomously.
As a local leader you will have a new vision and understand NDIS with the growth mindset for the Endeavour portfolio within the Gladstone region. Reporting to the Operations manager for Central Queensland and will on occasion be required to travel to Rockhampton for training or meetings. Day to day Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Framework
- Identify and highlight growth opportunities through client interactions.
- Review rosters, leave, timesheets and performance of Support Workers
- Foster a supportive and respectful community-centric environment incorporating the interests of families & guardians
- Ensure team members are fully trained and aware of individual client requirements, taking accountability for staff compliance
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or equivalent tertiary education is desirable.
- Up to date First Aid and CPR certification.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in leadership roles
- Willing to obtain – NDIS Yellow Card, Blue Card, Police check and Drivers Licence
