As the Team Leader for the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Mental Health Team, you will provide strategic leadership and operational management to a diverse group of health professionals.
You will:
Lead and manage clinical services and operational activities within the multidisciplinary team.
Provide advanced clinical advice on specialised mental health service delivery models.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders across Queensland's mental health networks.
Drive evidence-based practice, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement.
Facilitate team development, workforce planning, and change management.
Oversee service delivery, ensuring safe, patient-centred, and compassionate care.
About you:
You are a skilled and compassionate leader with a strong background in allied health/nursing as well as intellectual and developmental disability mental health services.
Key skills and qualifications:
Advanced clinical expertise and a high level of independent professional judgment.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and operational responsibilities.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to lead service improvement and research initiatives.
Tertiary qualifications with relevant registration.
Commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Experience in strategic planning, workforce development, and quality assurance.
Openness to travelling across various Metro South Health Locations.
