Organisational Context
east Victoria across an area of 20,000 square kilometres. The service delivery area is bound by Corryong, Yarrawonga,
Benalla and Dartmouth. We operate 21 water treatment facilities and 22 wastewater treatment plants that service most
towns across the region. Over 200 full time equivalent staff are employed at our centres in Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla,
Yarrawonga, Corryong, Beechworth, Mount Beauty and Myrtleford.
Our operations are overseen by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) on behalf of the
Minister for Water, and the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) on behalf of the Treasurer. We continue to invest in
innovative and long-term capital projects which contribute to the health and well-being of current and future generations.

Position Objectives
The Team Leader Platform Delivery:
- Delivers the organisation’s roadmap to enhance and extend the Salesforce CRM and Aptumo Billing Engine to
deliver great outcomes for our people and customers.
- Leads and implements delivery methodologies to establish best practice processes that will drive the product
roadmap.
- Manages the pipeline of requests, working to establish priorities and required resources and align release schedules
to business requirements.
- Partners with the Customer Experience and the Urban Growth Leadership teams, technology vendors, stakeholders
and other subject matter experts to plan and execute delivery of business outcomes.
- Supports cross functional Digital and Customer Experience teams and builds a culture of continuous innovation and
well-governed delivery, through established methods of prioritising, planning and executing on transformation
initiatives and product functionality.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Providing highly valued leadership and support to the Platform Delivery team.
- Developing new approaches and capabilities within the team to guide platform delivery outcomes, including
prioritisation, testing, development and release management for vendor applications.
- Engaging and developing a cross-functional team that uses well governed processes and structured methods to
meet the needs of the business.
- Supervising the administration, configuration and optimisation of the Salesforce platform and its related tools and
integrations.
- Leading and supervising the investigation and resolution of incidents, delivery of user requests and fixes, and
development of enhancements on Salesforce and its related tools and integrations.
- Engaging with vendors and other third parties to ensure effective relationships and expectation management,
specifically in terms of contractual engagement, test and release management, and defect fixes.
- Building an innovative culture across the areas of ideation, improvement and innovation, with the ability to deliver
on these to create efficiencies within the organisation.
- Building an adaptive delivery culture that uses the right methodology, i.e. waterfall, agile, etc. to ensure that
appropriate controls, checkpoints and documented evidence is available to support decisions
- Partnering with internal teams that use the Salesforce platform and other stakeholders to prioritise backlog,
maximize value delivered and remove blockers.
- Ensuring that data insights and stakeholder feedback are key to decision making and roadmap development.
- Maintaining project scrum boards, product backlog and future roadmap in conjunction with business partners and
stakeholders across the organisation.
- Data-driven analysis of key metrics across the business systems and identification of innovation opportunities and
benefits management.
Organisational Relationships
This role reports to the Manager Innovation and Information Security and supervises the Platform Delivery team. The Team
Leader Platform Delivery liaises with business partners and stakeholders, strategic vendors, internal resources, peers in
water corporations, government agencies and members of the public.
Accountability and Extent of Authority
- Accountable to the Manager Innovation and Information Security.
- Freedom to act is set by policies and legislation and actions taken may have a significant impact on the Corporation
and / or the community.
- Responsible for delivering the organisation’s roadmap to enhance and extend the Salesforce CRM and Aptumo
Billing Engine.
- Provide specialist advice and manage resources in the development of policy, procedures and templates to support
the delivery and audit expectations

Innovation and Information Security.

Specialist skills and knowledge
- Proven experience in Salesforce, or a comparable CRM/ERP, including configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades and
delivery tasks.
- Proven experience in managing third parties including vendors, support agencies and consultancies.
- Proven experience in change management (both technical and non-technical) and building competencies that grow
the capacity to deal with change more effectively.
- Proven experience in stakeholder and vendor management and building and developing strong relationships with
strategic partners.
- Experience with agile planning and development tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence) and delivery tools such as stand-ups,
sprints, showcasing and retrospectives.
- Experience in project management including scope management, risk assessment, resource utilisation,
prioritisation, and dependencies.
Management Skills
- Management of third party contractors and vendors to ensure terms of contract are being met.
- Ability to prioritise, work to critical timeframes, and manage multiple business stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt and change across business priorities, understanding when there is a new direction needed or an
urgent business consideration to focus on.
- Structuring work in line with outcome focused deliverables, timeframes, prioritisation, and delivery with strong
engagement and continued oversight.

Qualifications and Experience
- Formal qualification in one or a combination of: Salesforce or a comparable CRM/ERP, project management or
change management.
- Experience or certification in release management and / or delivery methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Experience in agile delivery and leading an agile team would be beneficial.
