As a Technical Training Supervisor based at Rocklea, you will be part of the Operations Technical Training team that keeps Queensland connected and powers communities every day. With us, you’ll gain the skills and opportunities to build a future you're proud of.

Your opportunity:

Working out of Rocklea as the Technical Trainer Supervisor you will be responsible for leading a team of technical trainers, managing the procurement and maintenance of training facilities and provide quality, compliant and timely training delivery to support EQL current and future workforce.

The Technical Training Supervisor role involves identifying site training needs, managing internal and external training schedules, and ensuring compliance with Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Quality Assurance standards. You will be responsible for building a self-sufficient training capability through effective budget, resource, and facilities management. You will collaborate with various group including the Technical Training and Apprentice group to deliver seamless and compliant training solutions across the business and external customers. As a proven leader you will display strong stakeholder engagement and strategic planning, while delivering cost-effective and high-quality training services.

The remuneration for your new role starts from $179k per annum + 14.75% superannuation on a 10-day fortnight.

What you’ll bring:

To be successful in the role you will bring demonstrated leadership and a high level of written and verbal communication. Additionally, you will be able to plan and schedule work while managing multiple priorities in order to meet deadlines, service delivery standards, as well as budgetary constraints. Critical to your success in the role is your:

Essential:
  • Degree in Education or equivalent, and relevant experience in vocational training delivery and management
  • Relevant trade Qualification in Electrical Supply Industry Distribution/Transmission or Electrotechnology.
  • QLD recognised Electrical Workers License (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Linesperson or Cable Jointer).
  • Experience in building and managing a cost-effective self-sufficient training delivery team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain compliance with AQF RTO Standards and other relevant Government Acts and Regulations
  • Ability to communicate, influence, negotiate and partner with key internal/external stakeholders at all levels, to deliver excellent customer relationships and training outcomes.

Desirable:
  • AQF Level 5 or above in Vocational Education, Business Management or related discipline
  • Relevant post-trade qualification in Electrical Supply Industry
