About the role:
This role focuses on conducting Food Safety audits, inspections, and electronic reporting to uphold the highest standards of food safety. The technician will work within but to not limited supermarket environments, ensuring compliance while servicing wall-mounted dispensers and supporting equipment installations.
Travel is a significant part of this role, so flexibility and reliability are essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct quarterly cleaning audits and departmental inspections in supermarket settings
- Complete accurate and timely electronic service and audit reports
- Document service activities, inspection findings, and corrective actions
- Communicate food safety improvements and resolve client issues effectively
- Install and maintain hygiene and dosing equipment per specifications and standards
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair non-functioning equipment
- Support new store rollouts, ensuring proper training and installation sign-off
- Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Deliver formal and on-the-job training as per contractual obligations
- Respond to customer requests and complaints promptly
- Maintain tool kits and field test kits, replacing expired or contaminated items
- Achieve 100% compliance in monthly CMX platform reporting
- Travel regionally as required for installations and repairs
About you:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Flexible and willing to travel with valid driver’s license (primarily within NSW, occasionally interstate)
- Experience in equipment service, repair, and installation (chemical hygiene/food industry preferred)
- Basic technical skills and safe use of tools (e.g., drills)
- Background in food safety, sanitation, or pest control (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
- Required: Police Check, Industry White Card, Working with Children Check
