We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our Children’s Services team as a Trainee (Diploma). In this rewarding role, you’ll support the delivery of quality early learning experiences for children aged 0–5 while completing a nationally recognised Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. You’ll learn on the job alongside experienced educators and gain the practical skills needed to grow your career in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

This position is located in the beautiful town of Coonabarabran, known as the Astronomy Capital of Australia, which is midway between Melbourne and Brisbane and is known for its beautiful landscape and stunning night skies. The town has medical services, excellent schools, a variety of sporting and social clubs and a thriving tourism Industry. With the nearby Warrumbungle National Park, which is also Australia’s first Dark Sky Park, there is plenty to do and explore whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation.
Selection criteria include:
Demonstrated interest in working with young children in an educational and caring environment
Commitment to completing a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care through a registered training provider
You must already hold an ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, this is a pre-requisite for the Diploma
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), valid for paid employment
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications
Demonstrated understanding of the EYLF and NQF
Physical ability to perform active and manual tasks associated with early childhood care
Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Class C driver’s licence (P plates minimum).
It is a plus if you have previous experience, but this is not essential.
