Requirements
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122) – mandatory
- Relevant qualifications in RII50520 Diploma of Civil Construction Design, RII60520 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design, and a civil engineering-related discipline
- Civil engineering industry background
- Demonstrated capability in delivering and assessing: AutoCAD and 3D modelling (2D/3D CAD software use); Technical mathematics, structural calculations, and engineering mechanics; Civil infrastructure design projects including drainage, lighting, landscaping, and car parks
Skills & Attributes
- Recent, practical experience in the building and civil construction industry
- Proven experience in the delivery and assessment of VET training
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to integrate it into training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Office 365
- Experience supporting students with educational barriers
- Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, industry-aligned training sessions
- Conduct assessments aligned with training package requirements
- Offer constructive feedback and mentorship to students
- Collaborate with curriculum developers to maintain course relevance
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments and attendance
- Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate them into teaching
