About the Roles
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry trainer to join our academic team at our Parramatta campus. The position is specifically designed to deliver vocational courses to international students.
A person must be well organized with strong interpersonal skills, evidence of ongoing professional development and industry currency in each field, as well as a solid knowledge of the NVR requirements for VET RTO's standards.
Skills required:
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher
- Or be willing to obtain, TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills
- A recognised qualification in each field (Hospitality, Business and General English)
- Training and Assessment experience in the VET sector including experience with student engagement, retention and support strategies will be highly regarded
- Preferred minimum of a year teaching experience
- Experience working with international students
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Moderate computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Self-starter with exceptional communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances
Duties will include (but are not be limited by):
- Contribute to the development of training materials that meet ASQA requirements
- Participate in the regular Assessment validation and moderation process
- Develop and ensure the implementation of learning materials as required
- Ensure content delivery and interaction
- Ensure compliance with policy and processes that satisfy all regulatory guidelines
- Mentor and assess students from many different cultural backgrounds
- Assessment of learner competency against various performance criteria.
This position require a person who is exceptionally well-organized with strong interpersonal skills and someone who is an excellent communicator.
You must also be a proven team player with the knowledge, passion, and coordination that training always demands.
