We currently have an opportunity for a Training Lead - Defence Capability Projects. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Develop, review, and maintain specialist training solutions and documentation to ensure effective delivery of capability outcomes.
- Review, analyse, and align existing training frameworks using the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).
- Manage Training Working Groups and ensure alignment of training activities with project objectives and stakeholder requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance and subject matter advice to project teams in the development of project training scopes.
- Lead coordination and communication activities related to training delivery across major Defence capability projects.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and drive aligned training outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in developing formal training documentation and reporting.
- Proven ability to lead and manage training projects and stakeholder engagement in complex environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate training needs and make informed recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience in Defence training development and delivery, including application of SADL principles.
- Due to the nature of the work you must have and maintain an NV2 or TSPV Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
