We currently have an opportunity for a Transition Operations Manager . Join our Base and Estate Management team and play a key role in ensuring a seamless and efficient operational transition, directly contributing to service continuity, stakeholder confidence, and long-term contract success. Reporting to Subject Matter Expert. you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Lead end-to-end transition activities, ensuring a smooth and compliant demobilisation from EMOS and mobilisation into Property & Asset Services (PAS), with hands-on coordination across systems, assets, and personnel.
- Drive operational readiness and efficiency, proactively managing workflows, resolving issues, and delivering critical milestones including WMS rollout, fleet mobilisation, and IT onboarding.
- Engage and align stakeholders, providing clear communication and coordination across internal teams, external partners, and Commonwealth representatives throughout the transition period.
- Champion continuous improvement and quality, contributing to operational enhancements, embedding Downer’s quality principles, and supporting knowledge sharing and development.
- Model collaborative leadership, supporting a high-performing and flexible workforce while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, project management, engineering, or a related field; PMP certification highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in mobilisation, demobilisation, or due diligence within complex operational environments.
- Ability to lead projects end-to-end, manage change initiatives, and apply risk management strategies.
- Skilled in working collaboratively with internal teams, service delivery partners, and external clients. Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills, with the flexibility to adapt in dynamic transition settings.
