THE COLLEGE
Moreton Bay College (MBC) and Moreton Bay Boys’ College (MBBC) are two separate Early Years to Year 12 single sex Uniting Church day schools. Governed by a Board, each school retains its independent legal status, a single sex focus and its own unique culture. However, both schools have significant strengths to offer the other and together have a unique market-leading proposition in private school education for families on the Brisbane Bayside.
THE POSITION
The role of the Tuckshop Supervisor is to manage all functions of the Tuckshop in accordance with the policies and standards of MBBC Tuckshop. This includes, but is not limited to, being responsible for the planning of menus, purchase and ordering of food and supplies and ensuring compliance to food safety and equipment maintenance standards.
The Tuckshop Supervisor is supported by Café Attendants to ensure the provision of an exceptional food and service quality.
The Tuckshop Supervisor is responsible in the first instance to the Hospitality Manager for all task direction, problem-solving and co-ordination and ultimately to the Chief Operating Officer.
All staff need to be supportive of the values, Christian ethos and Ethical Statement of this Uniting Church Day school from PP-12.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and creating the menu
- Preparing, and supplying food and beverage as per the online ordering system (flexischools) and internal catering.
- Managing online ordering system (eg flexischools) to ensure it represents the availability and offering
- Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner
- Ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen and storage area to meet the highest hygiene and food safety standard
- Maintain safe work enviroment in accordance with the work health safety act.
- End of the day reconciliation.
- Maintain high standards of management and administration and record keeping and documentation to meet all requirements
- Managing inventory of stock and ordering .
- Manage staff and volunteers including rostering, ensuring induction and adequate and essential training and ongoing development
- Assist in the development of and operate within the annual budget .
- You may be required to assist in the cafe as required.
- There is a possibility of some evening and weekend work to assist with catering at the Colleges’ events. This will involve working at MBC on occasion.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated relevant experience in Tuckshop management
- An understanding of food safety.
- An understanding of the hygiene requirements
- Experience in a school environment would be advantageous.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Working with Children Suitability Card is essential.
- Food Safety Certificate is essential.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position requires a high level of physical activity. The tasks involved require the employee to be standing or walking for a significant portion of working hours. The ability to bend, stretch and lift.
CONDITIONS AND SALARY
- Fixed Term – Part-time position, Term-time plus 2 weeks
- Hours: 7 hrs per day (excl a 30 min unpaid lunch break) 6.30 am – 2.00 pm
- Wages and conditions are in accordance with the Educational Services General Staff Award. The College contributes superannuation on behalf of the employee.
