Are you passionate about gardening? Do you believe in keeping and maintaining gardens to a high standard? Is Landscaping your thing? We are looking for a dedicated Village Grounds Keeper to join our team at the Barwarre Gardens Retirement Village. In this role you will:
- Operate within our retirement living team, and report to the Village manager in maintaining, cleaning and completing of all gardening duties around our Barwarre Gardens and associated areas
- Support in driving the retirement Village Bus as required
- Working with a small, dedicated team of groundkeepers
- Provide guidance and supervision to the groundskeeping team as required
- Dispose of waste
- Provide additional general duties as directed by the Village manager

About You!
We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about gardening, and brings hands-on landscaping experience to the table. Ideally, you will:
- Be able to plan, schedule, and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual gardening and cleaning tasks.
- Assist with long-term landscaping and maintenance planning for the village.
- Manage and monitor budgets for groundskeeping tasks, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Respond promptly to gardening requests and tasks from the retirement village community.
- Represent Barwarre Gardens with professionalism, showing high integrity in your work and interactions.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A Certificate III in Horticulture (or equivalent experience) will be an advantage.
- A current and valid driver’s license.
- An up-to-date NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
- Previous experience in a retirement living or aged care environment is desirable
