What is the job?
Under the general direction of the Village Manager or designate, maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation of all Public Areas across the Colleague Village and Hayman Schools.
Your day-to-day
- Maintain cleanliness and follow scope and cleaning procedures at the Hayman Island State School and The Hayman Island Hospitality School.
- Perform daily cleans of the schools and scheduled deep cleans.
- Maintain cleanliness of Colleague Village public use spaces including reception, public toilets, public communal Areas, colleague gym and laundry.
- Maintain cleanliness of out door Food and Beverage Service areas, including the Diner, communal BBQ area, Bar and smoking areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of accommodation pathways and grounds, their environs and surrounding areas, ensuring all areas are kept free of litter.
- Adhere to policies for guidelines on presentation, grooming and punctuality
- Assist the Housekeeping team in any other Ad Hoc duties where required.
What we need from you
- Full drivers license essential
- Friendly persona and good communication skills
- In this role you will be required to have the physical requirements to:
- Frequently walk for long periods of time (including up and down stairs)
- Frequently stand for long periods of time (remaining on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about)
- Frequent bend, squat, kneel and stoop
- Frequent lift and carry loads of awkward sizes up to and greater than 15kg
- Frequent push and pull loads (trolleys over 50kg)
- Undertake frequent repetitive movements of the hands or arms
