Balthazar Restaurant located in Perth (WA, 6000) is looking for a hospitality enthusiast to join its team as soon as possible.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Setting and arranging tables
Taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and drinks lists
Recommending dishes and wines to complement food when needed
Taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff
Serving food and beverages
Opening bottles and pouring beverages
Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen
Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses
Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registers.
Maintaining personal hygiene as well as following health and safety procedures.
Skills:
Previous experience in Australia ideally but not a must
Exceptional customer service & communication skills
Strong understanding of cuisine profile
Understanding of Australian cuisine
Some knowledge of European & Australian wines ideally but not a must
