Skills and Abilities
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal communication and active listening skills to understand and fulfill customer orders and address concerns.
- Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tables or tasks efficiently, such as taking orders, serving food, and managing payments.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in taking orders, ensuring correct food delivery, and handling special requests.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, carry heavy trays, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well with other staff members, including kitchen and other floor/bar staff.
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous Experience: Experience in a similar role or in customer service can be beneficial but is often not required, especially for entry-level positions.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to handle cash transactions, make change, and calculate bills accurately.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices is often required, and some employers may provide training.
- State or Local Certifications: valid RSA is required.
