About the role:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Table Service: Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Take orders accurately, answer questions about the menu, and provide suggestions to enhance the dining experience.
- Beverage Service: Demonstrate expertise in the restaurant's beverage offerings, including wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.
- Offer recommendations and ensure guests' drinks are served promptly and according to the restaurant's standards.
- Food Service: Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure that food is prepared and delivered to tables in a timely and consistent manner.
- Upselling and Promotion: Proactively promote restaurant specials, seasonal dishes, and beverages to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
- Skilfully engage guests in conversation to identify opportunities for upselling.
- Guest Satisfaction: Engage with guests throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all guest feedback is handled with care, escalating any complex issues to the appropriate management.
- Cleanliness and Setup: Maintain a clean and organized dining area at all times, including tables, chairs, and surrounding areas.
- Assist with table setup and preparations to ensure the restaurant is ready for service.
- POS and Billing: Process guest orders accurately through the point-of-sale system and handle billing efficiently.
- Knowledge of Menu and Ingredients: Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide detailed information to guests and accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions.
- Work collaboratively with other team members, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff, to ensure a smooth and seamless dining experience for guests.
- Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, following all relevant health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment for both guests and colleagues.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a high-end or premium restaurant setting is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and composed demeanour.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to upholding the restaurant's values and standards.
