About the Role
We are looking for a WHS Manager who is more than a compliance and safety expert; you are a business partner, a leader, and a culture shaper.
As WHS Manager, you will lead our high-performing WHS team and partner closely with leaders across ACH Group to drive strategic initiatives that promote a safe, healthy, and engaged workforce. You will play a key role in influencing decision-making at all levels, ensuring our WHS strategy is integrated into operational planning and that our self-insurance obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to deliver our WHS strategy aligned with organisational priorities.
- Lead and empower a high-performing WHS team to support a strong safety-first culture.
- Provide expert, practical WHS advice across the organisation, embedding best practices in all we do.
- Influence through data by analysing trends and presenting insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Oversee preparation and compliance for self-insurance audits and regulatory obligations.
- Continuously improve WHS systems, tools and processes to proactively manage risk and reduce harm.
- Build leadership capability across ACH Group to identify, manage and respond to WHS risks.
You are a trusted WHS leader with a collaborative mindset and a proven ability to build partnerships that enable a safe and healthy workplace. You balance strategic thinking with operational delivery and thrive in influencing positive cultural change.
What you will bring:Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related field.
- Experience leading WHS functions in a large, self-insured organisation.
- In-depth understanding of WHS legislation and risk frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, lead, and collaborate across diverse teams.
- A current driver’s licence and a satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check.
- Experience in aged care, healthcare or other human services sectors
- Project management or quality management experience.
