Microsoft’s Government and Utilities Enterprise Account Team focuses on partnering with customers to achieve strategic goals.
As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to drive Transformation in partnership with our valued customers with a focus on AI, Copilot and Security to achieve both Microsoft and customer business outcomes. Leveraging your large, multi-functional team across the breadth of the Microsoft solutions portfolio, engage at the most senior levels of your customer and bring industry-relevant solutions to help the customer adopt and embrace digital technologies.

- Customer Advocate – Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet Microsoft revenue goals while delivering meaningful customer outcomes.
- Business Planning & Orchestration – Engage internal and external stakeholders to shape joint digital transformation strategies and orchestrate the full Microsoft account team to drive value across the customer lifecycle.
- Trusted Industry Advisor – Build deep industry expertise and a strong understanding of the customer’s business to identify new opportunities, drive growth, and deliver net-new business.
- Customer Champion – Represent customer needs internally, ensuring feedback and priorities are addressed to strengthen long-term relationships.
- Sales Excellence – Lead and coordinate virtual teams across solution areas to consistently grow revenue and market share.
- Industry Insight – Stay current on industry trends, business models, and partner ecosystems. Gain firsthand insight by actively engaging in customers’ strategic initiatives and operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience
- This role requires verification of Australian citizenship due to legal requirements tied to supporting federal, state, and/or local Australian government agency customers. To comply with these requirements, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified using a valid passport as a condition of employment.
- 4+ years of enterprise sales, account management, or consulting experience with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in developing and executing strategic account or territory plans
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders to shape business or digital transformation strategies
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional virtual teams, including technical and sales resources
Preferred Experience
- Experience in driving net-new business opportunities and expanding footprint within existing accounts
- Understanding of one or more relevant industries (e.g., Manufacturing, Retail, Government, Healthcare), including business challenges, customer priorities, and competitive landscape
- Grasp of technology trends (e.g., AI, cloud, cybersecurity, data platforms) and ability to connect them to business value
- Experience working within or supporting complex customer lifecycles, with a focus on long-term value realization
