We are seeking a Detail Oriented and Proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts and maintaining accurate financial records. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and resolving client queries.
Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor the accounts receivable transactions
Issue accurate and timely invoices to clients
Follow up on outstanding payments via phone and email
Reconcile customer accounts and allocate payments
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Prepare regular reports on debtor status and ageing analysis
Liaise with internal teams to resolve issues affecting payment
Support month-end closing and audit processes
Prepare regular reports for project specific costings
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar accounts receivable or credit control role
Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred)
Strong Excel and data entry skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance (desirable)
