The Marketing and Communications Office is a group of committed professional services staff dedicated to inspiring people to choose Murdoch. Through brand, marketing and communications strategies we enhance the reputation of the University, drive future growth and lead employee communications. The team share the work of Murdoch University’s academics, researchers, staff and students with the Murdoch community, as well as domestic and international audiences.
Your New Role!
Reporting to the Acquisition Marketing Manager, this position works as part of an Acquisition Marketing team that is focused on making Murdoch University the first choice of study destination for prospective students.
The Acquisition Marketer promotes of the university’s disciplines and course offerings in domestic and international markets, working alongside the Acquisition Marketing Manager with the university’s Schools, Future Students team and International Office.
Your Key responsibilities will include –
- Contribute to marketing planning in consultation and collaboration with MCO and university colleagues
- Support the Acquisition team to plan, create and deploy original content for specific University audiences with a focus on acquisition marketing activities, determining platform/format, medium, look and feel, authorship, frequency and duration of messaging
- Support the Acquisition team to produce content relating to the university’s academic offerings, adapting and executing via web, print, eDMs and other mediums – including copy, video and audio content
- Work alongside the wider team to monitor and respond to social media enquiries, develop content that will support acquisition activities to generate leads and inbound traffic for websites, social media accounts, applications, forums, blogs, email databases, activations and events.

This Continuous, Full Time attracts a remuneration of $89,396-$96,594 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- A tertiary degree with 1+ years’ experience in a marketing coordinator, content creation or community management role or an equivalent combination or relevant experience and/or education/training;
- Knowledge and understanding of content marketing practices, digital platforms and social media
- Ability to think creatively to concept, brief and deliver new ideas in the digital space
- Effective verbal and excellent written communication skills with previous experience in copywriting, proofreading and video production
