Job Description


Are you ready to take your actuarial expertise to the next level? Join our Sydney team as an Actuary reporting directly to the Chief Actuary for Dai-ichi Life Reinsurance Bermuda (DLRB). In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate across global teams, providing hands-on support to drive financial reporting improvements, asset-liability management, capital strategy, and pricing insights.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with talented colleagues across Australia and Japan and contribute to leading-edge actuarial solutions for millions of customers. In this role you will:

  • Develop and deliver monthly financial reporting including an analysis of profit, capital reporting and ALM reporting
  • Enhance governance of financial reporting to ensure quality and accuracy of results
  • Deliver capital management initiatives within Dai-ichi Life Reinsurance Bermuda
  • Review pricing and terms of new reinsurance treaties and changes to existing treaties
  • Provide actuarial support to the broader business to assist with various initiatives and opportunities that may arise
  • A high level of liaison with Dai-ichi Life’s Actuarial and Financial Planning Unit

Qualifications
  • Qualified Actuary
  • Able to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Strong Financial modelling experience
  • Strong ability to communicate and articulate complex concepts
  • Time management and prioritisation skills essential
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong initiative, with respect to developing new ideas and concepts for practical application
