Join Miwatj Health in a key program lead role where you’ll make a real difference to community health across East Arnhem. You’ll lead a diverse team of allied health professionals, including dietitians, oral and eye health coordinators, and visiting specialists, working together to deliver innovative and integrated services that truly meet community needs. About Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation
Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to providing quality services across East Arnhem Land and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary and public health for over 6,000 residents of this remote landscape. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, and a Corporate Office in Darwin, our delivery is focused on 7 health centres across East Arnhem Land and dedicated outreach teams who travel to additional locations.
What we’re looking for in you!
We’re looking for a values-driven leader who is passionate about Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination, and who understands the unique challenges and strengths of Yolŋu communities in remote settings. You will bring proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, with strong skills in identifying service gaps, developing innovative grant proposals, and driving effective program planning and evaluation. Success in this role will come from your ability to build genuine relationships, communicate effectively across cultures, and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. A willingness to travel throughout the region, together with a current NT driver’s licence and NT OCHRE card, will ensure you can truly connect with and support our communities.
