This role is a salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $113,574 - $125,720 base plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Analyst, Spatial Analytics and Insights CL 0708 to join our dynamic Strategy, Planning and Innovation team.
As a crucial member of our organisation, you will be responsible for supporting the organisation’s spatial analytics and insights function to underpin coordinated and robust infrastructure decision-making, informed by analytics and specialist Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and visual tools and insights.
Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:
- Deliver high-quality data analytics and provide geospatial expertise to project teams.
- Generate information and insights from datasets and identify trends and patterns to inform planning and policy.
- Develop high quality cartographic maps, reports and data visualisations for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ensure spatial data is accurate, validated, and efficiently managed, enabling timely access to up-to-date datasets that support project delivery and analysis.
- Develop insights drawn from spatial and non-spatial data that can shape pragmatic solutions and improve state infrastructure outcomes.
About You
The ideal candidate should possess tertiary qualifications in GIS, Urban Planning, Urban Analytics, Infrastructure, or a relevant discipline / equivalent relevant experience. Demonstrated experience in leveraging GIS mapping and spatial data analytics technology to support urban analytics, infrastructure and land use planning outcomes by leveraging these tools to convey key messages (particularly to non-technical audiences).
A demonstrated experience in the use of geospatial software and tools including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, QGIS, PostGIS, Microsoft Access, Infogram, Power BI, Carto. Experience configuring and managing web maps, including experience building models and scripts for automation and Advanced use of Office 365 especially Sharepoint, OneDrive, Power Query and Data Models.
