About the role
As an Assistant Electorate Officer, you will work closely with the Electorate Officer and Ms Corrine McMillan MP, Member for Mansfield, to support her Parliamentary duties and actively serve the Mansfield community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading media and communications activities, including the coordination of public messaging and updates.
Writing speeches and preparing key communication materials.
Managing a high-volume inbox and efficiently triaging email correspondence to maintain smooth communication.
Scheduling and maintaining the Member's diary, appointments, meetings, and events.
Supporting the daily administrative operations of the electorate office.
Providing confidential secretarial, executive, and administrative assistance to Ms Corrine McMillan MP.
Liaising with constituents to offer information, support, and assistance.
Collaborating with community groups, both directly and through existing external forums.
Overseeing IT functions and conducting relevant research.
Managing financial duties in alignment with Parliamentary Service legislation, policies, and procedures.
Compiling, drafting, and publishing newsletters and surveys for constituents.
Some travel may be required with the Member from time to time and could be outside of regular business hours.
