In this multifaceted role, you'll provide comprehensive support to ensure smooth operations within the Electorate Office.
About the role
As an Assistant Electorate Officer, you will work closely with the MP and the Electorate Officer to support them with their Parliamentary duties and the community within the electorate.
Key responsibilities
Secretarial Support: Provide direct administrative support to The Hon Ann Leahy MP and the Electorate Officer.
Community Engagement: Engage with constituents and community groups, addressing their needs and concerns.
Social Media & Design: Assist with updating and managing social media platforms and perform occasional graphic design tasks.
Diary Management: Assist with the maintenance of the Member's diary, scheduling appointments, meetings and events.
Financial Compliance: Assist with the adherence to financial obligations as per relevant legislation and policies.
Correspondence Management: Draft and proofread communications for Ministers and constituents with a high standard of literacy and punctuation.
Media: Provide high level media writing support for the Member including media releases and speeches and social media.
Information Dissemination: Assist with compiling and distributing newsletters and updates.
Research: Undertake research on various issues to support the Member's initiatives and provide appropriate responses to constituents.

Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
