Your new role
Join our dynamic Communities and Culture team as a casual Assistant Exhibition Technician at Rockhampton Museum of Art (RMOA), where you’ll play a pivotal role in exceptional exhibition delivery at Rockhampton Museum of Art, with opportunities to also work across Rockhampton’s major venues. This is your opportunity to bring exhibitions to life by assisting with the installation and de-installation of artworks, installing audio-visual equipment and lighting, and preparation of gallery spaces.
In this role, you will handle, hang, and position artworks of various materials with precision and care, contributing to the successful presentation of exhibitions. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with fabrication and painting for exhibitions, ensuring a high standard of presentation. Additionally, you will operate and maintain technical equipment such as lighting, audio, and audiovisual systems to industry best practices.
A key aspect of this role involves safely loading and unloading exhibition items and collaborating with your team to maintain the security, cleanliness, and safety of public areas and technical equipment. This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

- Working with Children Blue card is a mandatory requirement for this role
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card), Elevated Work Platform Licence are highly desirable
