The Opportunity
Are you detail-oriented, customer-focused, and ready to make an impact? We’re looking for a dynamic Assistant Finance Officer – Accounts Payable to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely payment of all creditor accounts.
In this vital position, you’ll provide outstanding customer service and support across the organisation while ensuring all payments are processed accurately and on time, in line with City policies and payment terms. You'll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team that values precision, efficiency, and service excellence
Reporting to the Finance Officer – Accounts Payable within our Financial Services team, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Ensure all internal and external queries are attended and resolved promptly and communication is always professional and helpful;
- Negotiate with suppliers and internal staff to assist in eliminating payment delays;
- Process supplier invoices and payment vouchers and ensure accurate payments are made according to payment terms; and
- Assist in the reconciliation of creditor statements and general ledger accounts.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of an accounts payable function;
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a relevant financial administrative role;
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills; and
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills with excellent attention to detail.
