Darwalla is a 90 year old family business located in South East Queensland. We are a fully integrated business, with our own rearing, breeding, hatching and broiler growing facilities.
We are seeking an experienced broiler grower for one of our company-owned farms at our complex in Gatton. You will lease the farm, consisting of:
- 8 sheds - tunnel ventilated with Skove controllers
- X capacity silos
Your role as a Lease Grower is to independently manage your team and the operations of your farm, in a safe manner to produce a healthy, uniform and quality bird to production requirements.
You will be directly supported by our broiler team who are backed up by our nutritionist, veterinarian. This is a long term lease position, where management is required to live on-site and be available to respond to alarms and call-outs as required.
About you
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Must have proven experience growing broiler birds
- Must have proven experience meeting RSPCA standards
- Must have current knowledge of animal welfare, biosecurity
- You will share our values and want to strive for improvement
