Working as part of the Portfolio Budget and Finance branch, your ability to interrogate financial data and distil insights will guide government frameworks and align departmental goals with long-term state priorities.

Join the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) as a Budget Analyst and help deliver sound financial strategies that shape Victoria's future.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Degree in accounting, finance or commerce or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience in best practice budgeting within government and knowledge of the Financial Management Act is desirable.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel is well regarded.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
