Australia Post is delivering like never before. And our inside sales team in Queensland is going from strength to strength, far exceeding sales targets and creating growth opportunities for our business.
In this role you will be an Account Manager of a portfolio of around 100-150 small business customers who are based in Queensland, this could be any number of up and coming eCommerce businesses or B2B manufacturing firms, or any business that uses freight services.
The opportunity for you as an inside sales representative is to work to exceed your sales targets and benefit from a market leading sales incentive scheme, abundant progression opportunities for your future career and a team environment that is positive and fun.
You will work with a group of customer obsessed account managers and you’ll be charged with establishing and managing the commercial aspects of relationships with the customers in your portfolio, you will be given the trust, tools and autonomy to treat your portfolio like your own growth business and take ownership of your customers.
To be successful you will increase revenue and new business by:
- Driving commercial decisions during contract renewal and negotiation processes.
- Retaining customers and delighting customers through helping them navigate our business and customer service infrastructure.
- Engaging your customers and keeping in touch with them to understand their upcoming business requirements.
- Expanding existing contracts, putting us ahead of competitors in share of wallet and identifying new opportunities to deliver new products and services.
- Hitting the phones to make sales calls to new businesses and lapsed customers to bring them into your accounts and drive towards and beyond your revenue targets.
The experience, and character that you will need are:
- Some proactive sales experience, where you have had to develop business or make sales.
- A high level of motivation, able to work autonomously and make decisions about your time that are focused on revenue growth.
- An ability to grasp opportunities, to hunt for new business and to be a key player within the team. You will have a desire to grow and develop and be within the team in the office making sales calls.
You will have a strong ability to grow and develop, you will look for opportunities to constantly improve and tweak the way you’re doing things in order to deliver above and beyond your sales targets. And you’ll take charge of your own development.
