About The Role:
The Senior Capability Development Specialist works directly to the SATCOM SPO Director and will work to develop a range of One Defence Capability Life Cycle products to enable the programmatic delivery of JP9102PH1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience developing a range of defence capability artefacts, such as cost models, workforce plans, project execution strategy development, materiel acquisition agreements and be able to represent at Defence Committee processes.
- Significant commercial experience, being able to conceptualise complex social, political, financial and delivery issues. Realising outcomes through the employment of innovative commercial strategies to generate outcomes for Defence.
- Possess demonstrated negotiation skills and be able to generate outcomes with diverse stakeholders.
- Significant knowledge of Defence sustainment practises and understand the operating constraints in contemporary sustainment.
- Strong knowledge of MILSATCOM.
- Knowledge of international engagement with United States Government entities and have Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) operation and negotiation at the Government-to-Government level.
- Required to prepare and submit documentation in support of Defence Committees and approval bodies in order to advance JP9102PH1.
- Able to lead a diverse multidisciplinary workforce, comprised of APS, ADF and Contracted members.
