The Opportunity
Our Seaford Centre has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our incredible team on a Casual basis! There may also be the opportunity to pick up shifts at our surrounding Centres in Carrum Downs, and Cranbourne West.
As an integral part of the Mayfield team, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for the children in our care.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring child safety & wellbeing using your active supervision skills.
- Collaborating with the team on age-appropriate curriculum implementation.
- Providing personalised attention, addressing unique learning styles and needs of the children in our care.
- Guiding behaviour through positive reinforcement for social and emotional development.
- Maintaining open communication with parents about a child's progress and concerns.
- Actively participating in team meetings for a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
- Fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere embracing diverse backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner.
You
- Available to pick up shifts between 7am - 6:30pm 5 days a week
- Working towards or hold a minimum of a Cert III in ECEC (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
- Valid WWCC.
- Child protection / Red Nose / Food Safety training (or willing to obtain).
- Working knowledge of NQF, EYLF & Child Safe Standards
- Demonstrated passion for the Early Childhood sector.
You will enjoy communicating with, and building trusted relationships with children, their families and the wider community.
