Requirements:
- Current First Aid
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Practical working knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, Child Protection legislation, Child Safety Environment and regulation and National Quality Framework
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children.
- Plans and prepares classroom setting; oversees safety and educational programs; supervises children in the classroom; provides a supportive environment in which children can learn and practice appropriate and acceptable individual and group behaviors.
- Interacts with parents and community groups; maintains open and cooperative communication with parents and families, encouraging their involvement in the program and supporting the child's family relationships.
- Writes observations, assess, plan, implement, evaluate children's learning following the framework guidelines.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Records maintenance skills.
- Ability to provide activities for children that encourage healthy growth.
- Knowledge of applicable safety procedures.
- Ability to provide a safe, supportive and caring environment for children.
- Able to work as a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.00 – $31.00 per hour

- Derrimut, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
