About myResearch Sydney

myResearch Sydney is a multi-year project to make Sydney a better place to work and a place that works better. It will effect a digital transformation of our research administration to enable easy access to high fidelity data and information, and smoother administrative workflows. Our goal is to free up time for researchers and research support staff to allow us to focus more on core priorities.

As one of the flagship projects of the University of Sydney’s 2032 strategy, myResearch Sydney touches upon numerous strategic priorities, and impacts the work of many academic and professional staff. As such, myResearch Sydney is a high-profile strategic project with a significant stakeholder engagement component. Business led, the project is driven from the University’s Research Portfolio and involves multiple delivery partners including Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Advanced Analytics & Planning (AAP), Finance, Human Resources (HR) and multiple partners in our faculties and schools.

About the opportunity

As a Change and Adoption Specialist , you will design and deploy effective behavioural change management approaches. This role will primarily support the myResearch Outputs and Academic Profiles team which will improve the tracking and visibility of research outputs and will enable researchers to maintain accurate, up-to-date profiles. Under the broad direction of the Stream Lead with functional coordination provided by the Program Change Lead, you will be working to achieve sustainable technological, process and behavioural change.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • build and execute change management plans with Organisational Change Managers, Project Managers, business and project teams using your deep understanding of the change and stakeholders

  • develop fit for purpose tools and support for managing change including roadmaps/plans, scorecards/dashboards, reports, communications resources, events/meetings and training support materials in collaboration with a small project team

  • engage stakeholders to deliver seamless and tailored change management support and to continually evaluate the effectiveness of change management plans

  • coordinate support services with managers to embed changes in business units ensuring desired results are achieved and planned benefits are delivered.

About you

  • change management delivery experience in either a business area that has experienced change or on transformation programs or projects in large/complex organisations

  • working experience in digital transformation program delivery within the higher education sector (desirable)

  • highly developed relationship management skills as you will be managing a diversified and complex stakeholder group and working in collaboration with various business units across the university

  • flexibility in their organisation and planning skills in order to balance competing agendas and demands in a fast paced, time pressured environment

  • outstanding presentation, communication and negotiation skills to deliver messaging on a variety of channels to varied audiences

  • an agile and flexible approach that is able to pivot and contribute to overall team success.
