This role is focused on making and growing young disciples of Jesus through the faithful, prayerful teaching of God’s word.
We’re looking for someone who:
- loves the Lord Jesus, loves his word the Bible, and loves his people the Church
- is committed to prayerfully teaching the Bible to children as God’s principal means of growing them as faithful disciples
- is excited to evangelise and disciple children, youth and their families
- has experience in and passion for children’s and youth ministry
- has theological training in a Reformed Evangelical tradition
- can lead existing ministries and develop new opportunities
- has strong interpersonal and team leadership skills
- has a servant heart, is teachable and willing to learn
Key areas of responsibility are:
- oversight of Sunday Kids’ Group, Youth and Crèche
- oversight of midweek Playgroup, Kids’ Club and Youth
- engage with local schools, including involvement in SRE
- evangelism to children and youth (inc. Holiday Club, Christmas)
- build, train and coordinate a team of volunteer leaders
- ensure Safe Ministry adherence and compliance with Child Safe Standards for volunteer children and youth ministry leaders
- contribute to the wider ministry and mission of Holy Trinity, working with our existing ministry team
If appointed, the successful candidate must:
- complete all Diocesan Safe Ministry Training
- hold a valid Working with Children Check
- be approved and licensed by the Bishop of Bathurst
- (preferable) have completed, or be completing, a degree in Theology
We offer a supportive staff team, flexible working conditions, as well as ongoing ministry training and mentoring.
A stipend and associated benefits and allowances will be provided according to the Anglican Diocese of Bathurst remuneration guidelines. Details will be discussed with candidates during the application process.
If you’re ready to invest your energy and gifts in seeing lives transformed by Jesus, we’d love to hear from you.
