Employee benefits
On offer is a competitive salary, flexible work arrangements, growth opportunities, a conveniently located informal office with nearby parking and eateries, and a horizontal management team that is supportive and respectful.
These roles would be highly suited to people desiring full-time work while juggling parental commitments, with some existing staff opting to work split shifts around school pick-ups and drop-offs.
If you are task orientated, thrive in a fast-paced administrative role where the emails never stop, and are happiest when juggling multiple priorities, then please apply now to join our friendly growing team.
About the roles
Both roles will involve a wide range of client engagement and claim management activities, including email management, CRM entry, client communications and claim documentation and processing, with a mix of routine and more complex tasks. Most client communication is via email, however there is a shared call queue and the need to liaise with clients, third-party providers and DVA via telephone.
One role involves more general administration duties, while the other has a specific focus on preparing online claim submissions based on medical reports and service records.
Candidates are invited to express a preference for either role, but cross training is also practiced across the team.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidates will be responsive to training, collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable dealing with a high volume of emails.
- Familiarity with computers and competency with Microsoft Windows and the Office environment is essential.
- A thorough understanding of musculoskeletal conditions will be very highly regarded, and experience or familiarity with military ranks, roles and careers advantageous, though not essential.
- An example of a model candidate might be a former nurse or medic seeking a sedentary role.
- Candidates should be aware there is frequently a support dog in the office.
- These roles are based in Canberra, Australia, and you must have full work rights.
Employment commencement
Preference is for an August or September start, with interviews to be conducted the fortnight commencing Monday 11th August.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary is negotiable depending on the successful applicant’s skills and experience, suitability for the role, and the scope of responsibilities assumed.
Hybrid working arrangements are typically three days in the office and two days working from home. There is reasonable flexibility to negotiate your own work schedule after initial training.
Ongoing training is provided and, for those interested, long-term opportunities to advance into more senior roles as the business continues to grow.
Job application
Based on previous recruiting rounds, a high number of applicants are expected through the ‘apply now’ feature, however candidates are encouraged to specifically describe their suitability and those that email their resume and cover letter to hr@australianveteranadvocacy.com.au will stand out from the crowd.
Thank you for your interest.
