The Research Officer is an integral member of the research team within the Surgical Outcomes Research Centre (SOuRCe), responsible for and assist with planning, implementation, coordination, data management and reporting of concurrent research projects related to a funded body of work. These research studies will be varied and will require that the Research Officer be able to work on concurrent projects with competing deadlines across multiple disciplines. This will include assisting in the development and implementation of research protocols, ethics and governance submission, project management, consumer engagement, patient recruitment, data collection, patient follow up, data analysis, manuscript preparation and report writing. The Research Program Officer will utilise their knowledge of clinical and health services research in the establishment and maintenance of productive working relationships with internal and external collaborators, departments and staff.
- Has health related degree and/or experience in research, clinical trials or relevant experience.
- Proficiency in a range of computer applications including Microsoft Office, medical electronic databases (e.g. Medline, PubMed, Embase,), REDCap and research software (e.g. SAS, SPSS, EndNote, Nvivo).
